In 1912 an American Shipping Company launched a new ship called 'Titanic '. It was the largest and most luxurious Ocean Liner of that time.It weight 46,000 tonnes and could carry about 2,200 Passengers. Experts predicted that nothing could make it sink.
The Great Ship Titanic sailed from Southampton in England to New York on April 10, 1912. She was carrying 1316 passengers and a crew of 891. (Men, Women and Children) At that time, however,she was not only the largest Ship that had ever been built.,but was regarded as unsinkable.,for she had sixteen water tight Compartments.The tragic Sinking of this great liner will always be remembered for she went down on her first voyage with heavy loss of Life. It was sunk into 13000 Feet deep in the North Atlantic,four days after setting out.
While, on April 15, just before midnight the Titanic was sailing across the icy water of the North Atlantic, a huge ice Berg was suddenly spotted by a look - out. The ice berg tore a great hole in the ship's side and the unsinkable ship was then in the verge of sinking.
After the alarm had been given, the great ship turned sharply to avoid a collision. Suddenly, there was slight trembling sound from below,the captain went down to see what had happened. The noise had been so faint that no one thought that the ship had been damaged,below the captain realized to his horror that the Titanic was sinking rapidly,for five of her sixteen water tight Compartments had already been flooded. Warning bells rang out, everyone rushed to the life boats took mostly the women and children. It was a really ever tragic, horrific or terrible scene.

Despite his Third Class passenger status, Jack was very excited to be on-board.
He stands at the bow of the Ship as the wind blows through his hair,pumps his fists into the air and Shouts
