The recent threats to the environment, the Sundarbans boating and fishing, dredging, Tourism,and port activities, operation of Mechanized boats, excavation of Sand from the Riverbed, and the establishment of Coal power plants.

***Which Animals are found in Sundarbans?

On the basis of Hunters statistical account of Sundarban,  written in 1878, " Tigers,Leopards,Rhinoceros, Wild Buffaloes,Wild Hogs,Wild Cats,Barasinga, Spotted Deer, Hog Deer,Barking Dear, and Monkeys are the major varities of wild animals found in Sundarbans"

*** What makes the Mangrove Unique? 

Mangoes are  Unique because they are gifts of the tides along low- lying tropical and sometimes subtropical  Coastal areas,along the Margins of estuaries,deltas, Coastal langoons , and brackish tidal waters in general.......

In Mangroves as in other Marginal ecosystems biodiversity is low.
