........The Life of a Fisherman.......
There are many kind of professional persons in our Society.Among them those who earn their livelihood by Catching and Selling fish,are called fisherman.Many people of our Country are engaged in this profession.This profession is hard, challenging or risky also.A fisherman works whole day long or day and night.Many fishermen go to fish at night.The night may be dark, Cold and Stormy. Sometimes fishermen go away from home for many days and fish in the deep waters or in the deep sea far from their home.Some of them a few own their own nets and boats.Other may not have their own nets.Those who have their own nets and boats employ these men.Fishing in the sea is more difficult than the fishing in the river.While the fishermen are gone to the sea,the sea may turn rough although it was calm when they left the shore.A storm may drive the fishing boats very far from the shore, some boats may also sink.As the profession is very challenging and a fisherman may have to face danger at every step when he goes to catch fish in the seas.l know a fisherman, named Farid, he is very sincere and honest.He lives in a simple life.He is very healthy, strong and stout.His income is very poor.He lives with his family in a slum by the bank of the river.Every night he goes to catch fish from near by river and return to his home at late night.But he gets up very early in the morning and goes out for market to sell his fishes till afternoon and then he gets his wages.Then he buys his daily necessaries and return to his slum.He is always dependent on his employer.When he gets more money then he and the members of his family eat with their heart content.Sometimes he and his family go without food, if he can not manage any work.However, he is a great demand in Eid day, Pahela Baishakh and others religious occasions.His life is full of sorrows and sufferings.He can hardly enjoy peace and happiness.In all weather good and rough or bad he is sun-selling fish in hours to house.He is always seen carrying a basket full of fishes in his head.His dress is very simple. The smell of fishes always comes from his body.Though his service is of great importance for every person but he is neglected much by the rich and selfish men.He is not held in due respect.So we all should have soft feeling or fellow feeling for him so that he can get a decent life with dignity.
