Refugee Crisis in Bangladesh....((Rohingya)....

Refugee Crisis in Bangladesh ( Rohingya)..

The Rohingya people are ethnic group from Myanmar, once called Burma. Most of the Rohingya people lived in Rakhine State of Western Coast.Majority of the people are Buddhist.Rohinya people are mostly Muslims, and a small number are Hindus.

Immediate after Independence of Myanmar in 1948, the Government declared the migration illegal.

In 1970s, the Myanmar Military began campaign of most brutal Crackdowns in Rohingya population to flee Myanmar. At that time many Rohingya migrated illegally to Buddhists Bengali Villages.

Now Refugee crisis is a matter of great concern in Bangladesh. This crisis is not a new  affair in Bangladesh, rather this crisis has been going on since long past.In fact this migration started since1970s Rohingya people have been coming to Bangladesh from then Burma.

In  the 1990s.more than 2,50,000 resided in refugee camps in Bangladesh. In the early 2000s, but 20,0000 of them were pushed back to Myanmar, some against their will. But unfortunately this respite ended in2015 and by 2017, an estimated 3,00,000 to 5,00,000 or more Rohingya refugees were in Bangladesh. Most of the refugees are located along the Teknaf Cox's Bazar High way that is parallel to the Naf River making the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar. After that, the number of Rohingya  refugees in Bangladesh continues to increase as the brutal behavior of the Myanmar Army towards them.

Based on the statistics of the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees(UNHCR), more than 7,23,000 Rohingyas have fled to Bangladesh since 25 August,1917.On 28 September 2018,at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'There are 1.1 Million Rohingya refugees now in Bangladesh. This huge number of refugees is rare in any country in the World except Bangladesh. So, the refugee  crisis has turned into a great crisis and concern at the same time, it informs the world people of the fact that Bangladesh, being a small and huge populated, will have to fall in problem to feed a huge influx of Rohingya refugees. At this time, Bangladesh needs or demands a sustainable permanent solution so that a huge number of Rohingya people can go back to their native country, this is the demand of all classes of people of Bangladesh and mere the way of Bangladesh to get rid of burdened refugee crisis.

It is mentioned here that Gambia,  recently, a small African Muslim  country, filed a case for Rohingya genocide in International Court of Justice (ICJ) also known as World Court against Myanmar.
